My name is En Tzer Yeh. I am a doctor of physical therapy. This channel is about physical therapy. It is about what I know and what I love about physical therapy. It is not medical advice. This is not a business. If you are in pain, you really should seek out your local health care providers. This is just a hobby, not a job for me. If you find it helpful, that's great! If you don't find it helpful, I'm sorry but this is not a business. If you have questions, please consult a medical professional in real life. I would love to communicate with my viewers but I cannot give medical advice over the Internet.

It’s so strange to see Physical Therapist wearing white coat and call themself Dr. Do you really wear a white coat while rehabbing patients?
That coat was issued by my employer and yes I wear it when I treat my patients.
@@doctorenzoyeh I see. You must be in an outpatient-setting then? It could be very confusing for patients if you were in a hospital-setting.
@@expotan8711 I’ve worked in in-patient setting before. Some therapists do wear white coats. Patients are never confused because healthcare workers in the United States are required to announce their identity upon entering patient’s room.
hi.. could i ask what is the size if pvc pipe? thank you 🙏
The one I bought says it’s a 1/2” pvc. I just went to the store with the pool noodle and tried out the pvc pipes in the store.
Is it good for elderly people to use electric heat mat daily for an hour
Usually Heat therapy is recommended for 15-20 minutes at a time. To get the most benefit, you should let your body cool down after 20 minutes, cool for 5-10 minutes, before repeating the use of Heat therapy. It also depends on what condition you have so you should ask your local physical therapist or physiotherapist for recommendations.

What you are describing could potentially be a labrum injury. If that is the case, online self-help might not really be for you. If you really want to get recover, you should visit your local physical therapist or physiotherapist to get evaluated and to get a personalized rehab program.

Great idea, does water leak out of the hole in the cap?
It won’t leak when you’re spinning the device. What is more likely to happen is that if you don’t secure the string to the cap properly, the bottle will detach from the string when you start spinning it.
@doctorenzoyeh ok thanks for quick response.

Bought the Ripstick to support & made a DIY one. I think it’s an effective supplemental equipment to a workout routine you have established, whether it’s calisthenics or weight training. Some may not be able to afford an official ripstick so having a cheaper DIY option is good too. Thanks for your review & perspective!

Always good to see your videos, keep it up! 🙋♂ Just a quick question, are you getting consistent members for your UA-cam channel? I noticed that the majority of your videos lack SEO optimisation. To attract more results in terms of increased viewers, retention, or CTR on your videos, it's essential to focus on optimising your video. Can I send you an explanatory video?
Thanks for watching my video! This is just a hobby for now so I don’t want to get too stressed out over CTR. I do try to increase my retention through my script and editing but I still got a long way to go!
Hey my friend that was actually pretty good review, im searching trying to decide on a hand massager for my wife for carpal tunnel, it seems almost all youtubers doing these reviews always have the Linux to compare along with 3 or 4 other massagers, so im starting to favor the lunix
Lunix makes high end hand massagers. It’s fun to review because it’s pricey and big!
Or you learn how to walk correctly, you’re supposed to step using your forefoot not you heel. You heels are the braking mechanism for your feet, so why would you try walking with them
Walking is supposed to start with a phase called “heel strike” and end with “toe off”. If you land with your forefoot instead of your heel, we call that walking on tippy toes. If you feel that walking on tippy toes is walking correctly, I have nothing to say.
@@doctorenzoyeh no, heel strike is more if you’re making a sharp turn while running or stopping. Using your forefoot(as in after your heel before your toes not tip toeing) is more efficient especially if you’re walking barefoot which is how humans are supposed to walk. Footwear has made walking more of a heelstrike strut which is problematic for both the foot and other structures in the body.

How tight should I tighten the belt? I'm squeezing it a lot. Is it okay?
@@krst371 just tighten it enough so it is not loose. Don’t tighten it to the point where it cuts off blood flow. Also, this isn’t medical advice and you should consult with your local doctor or therapist.

Awesome, just what I was looking for. I thought $189 for that device was ridiculous.
The concept is good. Fortunately it’s pretty easy to DIY. What is probably most valuable is the instruction that comes with the product, which you could find for free on their website.

I wish I had seen this video this morning. About 3 hours ago I went to a medical supply store and bought the over the door traction device with the water bag. $25 bucks down the drain. Spent 10 minutes setting this up and 15 minutes using it. Maybe it is me being 86 but this thing is a pain in the jaws and teeth. Also it did not do anything to ease the pain in my neck. Experience is the best teacher and now I know what does not work for me. I give it a one star rating.
Sorry to hear that! I think all of these devices put some pressure on the jaw, but yes the over the door type puts the most pressure on the jaws! Unfortunately if you can’t tolerate any position except upright, it’s not a lot of options.
